TERMS AND CONDITIONS

AEON 42nd ANNIVERSARY SPEND & WIN – BATIK AIR CAMPAIGN

1.0 ORGANISER AND ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is organised by AEON CO (M) BHD. (“AEON”) and is open to all customers (“Participant/Participants”), with no age restriction, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Employees of AEON Co., AEON BiG, AEON Wellness, AEON Daiso, advertising agencies, Contest service providers of AEON Co. (including its affiliated and related companies) and their immediate family members who are directly involved and/or related to this Contest are not eligible to participate.

Participants below the age of 18 years, if selected as a winner, may be required to provide the consent and/or assistance of a parent or legal guardian for the purpose of prize fulfilment and/or travel arrangements.

2.0 CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest will commence from 1st September 2026 to 31st October 2026, both dates inclusive (“Contest Period”). Entries received outside the Contest Period shall be automatically disqualified.

3.0 QUALIFYING CRITERIA AND SUBMISSION ENTRIES

3.1 To participate in this Contest, eligible Participants are required to meet all the conditions below:

(a)  Participants are required to make a minimum spending of RM42.00 in a single receipt at any participating AEON MALL tenants, AEON Retail Businesses including AEON Stores, AEON Style Supermarket, MaxValu Prime, AEON Wellness, Daiso By AEON, Tsutaya Bookstore AEON Mall Tebrau City, Petemo Pet Shop and/or online myAEON2go transactions during the Contest Period.

(b)  Each qualifying receipt shall entitle the Participant to one (1) Contest entry.

(c)  Participants may submit multiple entries throughout the Contest Period, provided that each entry is supported by a separate qualifying receipt.

Event Venue: All participating AEON MALLs nationwide. Prizes:

(i)  Grand Prize – One (1) pair of return Economy Class tickets to Tokyo, Japan by Batik Air.

(ii)  Consolation Prizes – Forty-one (41) return Economy Class tickets to selected destinations within Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore by Batik Air.

(iii)  Weekly Prizes – One hundred and twenty-five (125) luggage prizes per week, for a total of one thousand (1,000) luggage prizes throughout the Contest Period.

All prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation.

3.2 For purchases made at AEON Retail and participating AEON MALL tenants, all submissions must be submitted via the designated Contest portal/QR code together with a clear picture of the original purchase receipt.

3.3  Each submission via the Contest portal shall be subject to verification by AEON. Participants must keep the original purchase receipt as AEON shall be entitled to request the original purchase receipt in order to verify the purchase. Failure to produce the original purchase receipt upon request will result in disqualification and/or prize forfeiture. A photocopied version of the purchase receipt will not be entertained. In the event that any information in the submission is found to be false, inaccurate or wrong, the submission shall be disqualified.

3.4  Each qualifying receipt is entitled to one (1) Contest entry only, regardless of the total amount spent in that receipt. The minimum spending requirement of RM42.00 must be achieved in one (1) single receipt. Multiple receipts cannot be combined to fulfil the minimum spending requirement.

3.5  Any submission with a receipt that is illegible, mutilated, altered, duplicated, tampered with, not obtained legitimately, contains printing, typographical, mechanical or other errors, has unclear printing, does not contain sufficient information as proof of purchase, does not meet the minimum spending requirement or otherwise does not comply with these Terms and Conditions shall be automatically disqualified.

3.6 The following transactions shall not qualify for the purpose of this Contest:

(a)  Purchase of AEON Gift Vouchers, e-Gift Vouchers or similar vouchers;

(b)  Purchase or reload of prepaid cards, top-up cards or similar products;

(c)  Payment of utility bills, telecommunications bills or other bill payments;

(d)  Government-related payments or services;

(e)  Cancelled, refunded or voided transactions; and

(f) Any other transaction(s) specifically determined by AEON to be excluded from the Contest.

4.0 WINNER SELECTION

4.1  All eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be subject to a random draw conducted by AEON or an appointed party.

4.2  A total of forty-two (42) flight-ticket winners will be selected after the conclusion of the Contest Period, comprising:

(a)  One (1) Grand Prize winner; and

(b)  Forty-one (41) Consolation Prize winners.

4.3 For the luggage prizes, one hundred and twenty-five (125) winners will be selected through a random draw each week during the Contest Period, for a total of one thousand (1,000) luggage prize winners.

4.4 The weekly luggage prize draw will be conducted based on eligible entries received during the respective week of the Contest Period.

4.5  Each Participant may win one (1) luggage prize only throughout the Contest Period.

4.6  A Participant who has been selected as a weekly luggage prize winner shall not be eligible to win another luggage prize in any subsequent weekly draw.

4.7  AEON reserves the right to select reserve winners should any selected winner be disqualified, fail to respond within the stipulated period, fail to fulfil the prize claim requirements or otherwise be deemed ineligible by AEON.

5.0 WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT AND NOTIFICATION

5.1 The one hundred and twenty-five (125) weekly luggage winners will be announced weekly throughout the Contest Period through AEON’s official communication channels and/or such other communication method as deemed fit by AEON.

5.2 The weekly luggage winners will be notified via phone, email, mail or such other communication method as deemed fit by AEON. AEON will not be held liable in the event of non-receipt or delayed delivery of any notification to the winners.

5.3 The Grand Prize and Consolation Prize winners will be announced within one (1) month after the end of the Contest Period through AEON’s official communication channels and/or such other communication method as deemed fit by AEON.

5.4  All winners shall claim their respective Prizes within the period determined by AEON upon notification or announcement of the winners. Should any winner fail to claim the Prize within the time allocated, AEON reserves the right to forfeit the Prize or award the Prize to another Participant or winner.

6.0 BATIK AIR FLIGHT PRIZES

6.1 The Grand Prize consists of one (1) pair of return Economy Class tickets to Tokyo, Japan by Batik Air.

6.2 The Consolation Prizes consist of forty-one (41) return Economy Class tickets to selected destinations within Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore by Batik Air.

6.3 The actual destinations available for the Consolation Prizes shall be determined by AEON and/or Batik Air and are subject to flight availability.

6.4 The flight tickets are subject to Batik Air’s applicable terms and conditions, flight schedules, seat availability, booking requirements, travel restrictions and other applicable conditions.

6.5 The validity period for the flight tickets and applicable blackout dates, if any, shall be determined by AEON and/or Batik Air and communicated to the winners upon prize fulfilment.

6.6  Any costs and expenses not expressly stated as part of the Prize, including but not limited to transportation, accommodation, meals, travel insurance, passport, visa, airport charges, excess baggage and personal expenses, shall be borne by the winner.

7.0 GENERAL

7.1 The Prize is non-transferable, non-returnable or non-exchangeable for cash, credit, voucher and such other items in part or in full value for whatever reason. The value of the Prize is correct at the time of printing.

7.2  All Prizes are given on an “as is” basis and are accepted by the winners without warranty or guarantee of any kind, whether express or implied.

7.3  AEON shall have absolute right to substitute the Prize with any other prize of similar value as determined by AEON at any time without prior notice.

7.4 The decision of AEON in all matters relating to this Contest shall be final and binding. No correspondence, queries or appeals in respect of any decision of AEON will be entertained.

7.5  AEON reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to vary, reschedule, postpone or extend the Contest Period, timeline and any date herein at any time.

7.6  All costs and expenses including any payable tax (if applicable) incurred to participate in this Contest and to redeem any Prize thereof shall be borne by the Participants.

7.7  Participants agree that AEON (including their respective affiliated and related companies) may publish/use the Participants’ names (“Publication”) in any promotional materials for the purposes of advertising and/or promoting this Contest.

7.8  AEON (including their respective affiliated and related companies) shall not be held responsible and/or answerable for any damages, losses or whatsoever liabilities arising from the Publication including but not limited to the posting of the same on AEON’s website and/or any public domain.

7.9  Any images or pictorial used in promoting this Contest are for illustration purposes only.

7.10  All Participants agree and acknowledge that all intellectual property rights of AEON shall always belong to AEON (including their respective affiliated and related companies).

7.11  AEON shall not be held liable for any injury, loss or damage which may be suffered or sustained to any property or by Participants arising out of or in connection with the Participants’ participation in the Contest.

7.12  AEON shall not be responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, failure in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, the website, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, system, apparatus, software, failure of e-mail or receipt of entry on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet and/or telecommunication services.

7.13  The Contest’s Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time without prior notice and shall prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any other promotional material or advertisement of the Contest. Participants are highly advised to visit AEON’s website and/or Facebook from time to time to ensure that they are aware of any updates and changes made.

7.14  By participating in this Contest, all Participants agree and acknowledge that he/she has read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of this Contest; and any consent and/or authorization required shall be deemed given upon the Participant participating in this Contest and/or submitting any required details to AEON for this Contest.

7.15  The Terms and Conditions herein shall be governed and construed according to the laws of Malaysia.

7.16  The invalidity, illegality or unenforceability of any terms hereunder shall not affect or impair the continuing enforcement of the remainder of the Terms and Conditions of this Contest.

7.17  In the event of any dispute arising from the Contest including but not limited to claiming of Prizes, related benefits and/or entitlements, proper documentary proof is required such as proof of receipt, email account details, online media social networks and/or mobile application or notification of the same. Decisions made by AEON therewith shall be final and binding onto the parties of the dispute. If any matters arise which are not covered in these Terms and Conditions, they will be determined solely by AEON.

7.18  Should the Participant(s) have any inquiry and/or feedback, the Participant(s) may drop AEON an e-mail at feedback@aeonretail.com.my.

8.0 PRIVACY NOTICE PURSUANT TO PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT 2010

In compliance with the laws of Malaysia, the Participants hereby consent and authorize AEON CO (M) BHD to collect, process, safe keep the required details and to disclose the Participant(s)’ personal details to the related parties involved in organizing this AEON 42nd ANNIVERSARY – SPEND & WIN BATIK AIR CAMPAIGN in accordance with the Privacy Notice at https://www.aeonretail.com.my/privacy.html.

Any withdrawal of the Participant(s)’ consent given shall be made in writing and received by AEON CO (M) BHD before the expiry of the Contest Period and in such event, the Participant(s) shall be deemed to have withdrawn from this Contest.

Sebarang penarikan balik persetujuan yang diberikan, peserta peraduan hendaklah menulis kepada AEON CO. (M) BHD sebelum penamatan Tempoh Peraduan ini dan dalam keadaan yang sedemikian, peserta peraduan adalah dianggap telah menarik diri daripada menyertai Peraduan ini.
